Nikki & Zirome | Wedding

Nikki looked amazing in her gown. I photographed some images of her trying on the beautiful dress when she picked it up from Athena's Bridal. She seemed so happy and you could tell she was really excited for her big day.

The big day came and Nikki looked fabulous! They had many friends and family to enjoy in their day. It was really a special day for them.

We have such an honor in photographing so many couples who seem absolutely perfect for each other and deeply in love. Nikki and Zirome are no exception to this. They compliment each other, they seem like the best of friends.

We were even lucky enough to catch a few moments of the happy couple alone during sunset, one of our favorite times to photograph newlyweds.

Karey and Jeff's Winter Wedding

Just a little sneak peek for Karey and Jeff who had a beautiful winter wedding. They got married in a little old church out in the country, the wedding was so unique. The church had those wonderful old windows that you don't see in new churches and the end of their wedding happened right at sunset and dusk which cast such a gorgeous light into the old church.

They are both so clearly in love that they radiated it the whole day and they put such thought into the details it clearly showed. The church was packed with loved ones and friends who traveled from afar to see their special day.

Leimbachtoberfest | KE365 | Day 116

Amanda and Nick planned a fabulous wedding reception bash they called Leimbachtoberfest. They held the event at Dayton Leiderkranz-Turner in St. Anne's Hill Historic District, which was a perfect location for the German themed evening.

They put a lot of time, love and thought into the attire for the evening...

Nick & Amanda are so in love it is so easy for anyone to see. They had a huge group of friends and family that support them and many made comments of just how perfect they are together.

They even had a German themed cut-out for photo-ops which some of the guests ended up having a lot of fun with.

Amanda looked radiant as she usually does!

Loved all the details they had, from the handmade place cards to the engraved beer steins. It was a fabulous evening and we wish Amanda & Nick the best in their lives together!

Wedding Rings & Roses | KE365 | Day 102

My husband was so sweet to bring me roses on our anniversary, and for day 102 I thought it would be nice to capture some shots of them.

Decided to get some shots of my rings as well. I have some images of them from our wedding but as the years go by and my love of photography evolves, so does my taste. I thought I would see how I might capture it now.

Holly & Clay | KE365 | D95

Holly & Clay had an awesome wedding celebration at Playhouse at the Park in Cincinnati on a late summer day in August. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. Their wedding was in the cozy theater area with their wedding program designed to look as a theater program for the big nights events.

 

The cake was fantastic and reminded us of something out of Alice in Wonderland which Holly laughed and said that's exactly what I wanted!

The entire experience of Holly & Clay's wedding was unique and thoughtful. They are lucky to have a wealth of friends and family they shared the day with and made it even more special for them. It was clear to see they are perfect for each other just by the way they interact and the simple loving looks or gestures they exchange.

We wish you two the best with many years of happiness together!

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. King!

I was thrilled to get to shoot these long exposures during Day 53 for Pam and King during their wedding reception. We managed to sneak away for just a few seconds and I'm glad we had the chance. The tiki lights provided just enough light to get the right mood.

Tim looks so proud standing next to his new wife, it is so sweet how they look at each other. They had a lovely evening for a wedding on their beautiful country residence, I'll have more images and info about the wedding when I post their sneak peek!

For what it's worth I have noticed in the last few years that June is a difficult month. I'm not sure why it always works that way, but for me it just does. Good news though, I see July- it's in my sight.

Seriously though, there have been A LOT of obstacles lately. Luckily my camera didn't punk out on me like the old computer did and I have still been able to take my images everyday and do my various research for the project. My computer & time capsule hard drive went a bit haywire this week but with the effort of my husband the issue has now miraculously resolved. My cell phone which is supposed to help me stay in touch and caught up with my business has spent the entire month also punking out. The speaker goes in and out and basically decides to work whenever it feels like it. It rings out loud on maybe 1 out of 10 phone calls. The SD card which has over 1000 images on it randomly tells me the card is corrupt and blank. That doesn't work so well for me, I am now on my third phone in 3 weeks and this new one from 2 days ago is now acting up as well. The car, well don't even get me started there that's a whole blog post in itself. The moral of the story, I guess that would have to be that crappy things just seem to happen at the same time... it's just life. The sooner we realize that the better, no point in blaming anyone or getting discouraged because that will just make it snowball into a bigger problem. One day at a time, right?

Since it has been a rough week I took an easy day for D29 of the challenge. I shot some archival images of one of my client's wedding albums, Beth & Joe. It was a perfect wedding to shoot some archival images in an album because the wedding was gorgeous. The church they married in was beautiful and the reception was at the Dayton Art Institute which needless to say was stunning. Beth chose fantastic albums to preserve all her memories in. The details of how the albums are put together are great and of the highest quality.

It will be good to add the photos in to my business materials to show other clients available options for preserving all those wedding memories. I also chose to photograph a couple custom designs I've done. I've never taken the time to photograph all the work I do, but I have to say after this experience I'm going to photograph all of it. After some time you begin to forget all the projects you've worked on over the years, what better way to remember than documenting them with photos. It makes sense, it just doesn't make sense why I haven't done it sooner.  You have to start somewhere, and this was a good place to start for me.

Congratulations Aubrey & Andrew Mosher on their new marriage and beautiful wedding today! It was held at Grace Crossing Church in Beavercreek. The church is only seven months old and this was the first wedding ever held in the church, to make it even more special Aubrey's dad was the pastor for the ceremony. Awhile back I shot their engagement session where you can already see there adorable love for each other.

They had fabulous luck with the weather, we have been drenched with rain lately in Ohio but their wedding day could not have been more perfect. Bright beautiful blue skies, and the feeling of love was definitely in the air. Aubrey and Andrew are a perfect fit for each other and it is obvious to anyone who meets them how much in love they are.

We were lucky enough to have just a few moments during the reception to head outside and let Aubrey and Andrew have some time alone together. These are a couple images from those moments. What I love about these images is they are not edited at all, they were just still- enjoying the moment and I was able to get some long exposures which brought this beautiful vibrant color.
